Camden Green Fair & Bikest, Sunday 6 June 2010

Green Me is joining the many organisations in promoting greener living at Camden Green Fair which will take place in Regents Park, London on Sunday 6th July. We will have our entire range of cloth nappies, organic baby clothes, fair tarde toys and baby carriers, and will be making a massive one day sale.

There will be so many other activities you can join and enjoy. The main activity this year is for everybody to make a memory quilt to commemorate Camden Green Fair's 20 years of History. All you have to do is bring your old t-shirts, photos and memorabilia and stitch them together in a square which will be added to the quilt.

Other activities will include:
- performances on a green powered main stage
- green games with a tug-o-war challenge, free-range-organic-locally-sourced-happy-egg and spoon races, competitions, beat the goalie and much more.
 - grow your own hat
- milk a cow
- tread your own grapes for wine
- the ever-popular Bikefest – where you can try out a new type of bike or get yours serviced for free;

A great day out for your entire family!

Waltham Forest Green Fair - Green Me Attendance cancelled

We now know that we will not be able to attend Waltham Forest Green Fair. This is because the weather forecast predicts rain for the day. We will not be able to set up the stall under these conditions as it would damage stock.

However we will be at Greenwich Market as an extra day. Greenwich Market is covered - so it is the perfect location for all nappies to be on display. Greenwich Market is only 10 miles away from Waltham Forest

The Event at Southwark Park, 12 July

1pm - 10pm, Saturday 12th July 2008

Southwark Park won the prestigious Green Flag Award 2006 to recognise and reward it as one of the best parks and green spaces in England and Wales. This achievement came after it was restored to its former glory - a new bandstand and bowling pavilion were built along with a new children’s play area, and the lake was finally restored to its original pre-World War II size.

Now it is to host a perfect day out for all the family with local environmental organisations on hand to provide you with all kinds of information for you to live a greener and heathier lifestyle. We will be there to talk about - you guessed it - cloth nappies!

Other main attractions will be live performances from the legendary 70s soulsters Heatwave (Boogie Nights) and Madness saxophonist Lee Thompson and his new band The Camden Comboys.

The Green Roadshow, a wind and solar powered circus, will be there to entertain the young ones.

Stokefest, 8 June

Stokefest at Clissold Park, London N16, was fantastic with the sun blazing and North Londoners having fun - I mean real fun! (check photos )

We spent the whole day discussing, demonstrating and advising about cloth nappies. Next to us were Hackney Real Nappy Network (HRNN) also giving advice and information to local residents. We were so happy to know that a member of HRNN bought a very good night nappy from us some time ago (babybeehinds) and another member started cloth nappies with us(!), and now actively participates in the network. You see, cloth nappies can become addictive!

If you live in Hackney why not become a member of the Hackney Real Nappy Network. The network is a very welcoming group of mums, dads and carers who use cloth nappies and have loads of experience and tips to share with you.

Camden Green Fair, 1 June

Camden Green Fair at Regents Park is by far the biggest event of its kind. Green Me are joining the many organisations in promoting greener living. We will have our entire range of cloth nappies and will be demonstrating to you how fun and easy they are to use
If you really want to learn how to live in a greener way, Camden Green Fair is the place to be. It will have a life-sized recreation of an environmentally friendly home where you can walk in and learn all the steps you can take to make your home greener. Then maybe you'll want to try the knitting workshop, or just enjoy world music and local bands on a renewable-energy-powered stage, or even watch a movie at a solar cinema. Your children will love the mini city farm and horse-and-cart rides, and your baby will be happy knowing that mummy is learning how cloth nappies are fun and so easy to use...

You also will have the opportunity to test-drive electric cars - maybe it will be your next car...

The Dulwich Park Fair, 18 May

The Dulwich Park Fair (formerly the Green Fair and Party in the Park) will be held this coming Sunday 18 May, from 12 noon to 6pm.
It will be the third year we are participating in the fair and if it is anything like the previous years will be a wonderfully exciting, positive and inspiring experience for everyone. There will be so much to see and do - the mad hat making workshop, singing performances, bands and rides. The park also offers a fantastic playground, a lovely cafe and cycle hire (great fun!).

During this weekend we are also open at Greenwich Market on Saturday 17 May
