(unfortunately we will not trade today at Greenwich Market. We have been there this morning but because so many traders came in today - they have allocated us a stall outside. As the weather is not certain, we could not risk being outside if it rained and get the stock damaged. Greenwich Market are doing their best to accomodate all traders, today was our turn to be outside, so they say we might not be allocated again a stall outside. The Wave - December 5th 2009

Stop Climate Chaos Coalition is inviting everybody to join The Wave - the UK's biggest ever march for action on climate change.

On Saturday 5 December 2009 tens of thousands of people from all walks of life will demonstrate through London their support for a safe climate future for everyone. The Wave comes ahead of important international climate talks in Copenhagen between 7-18 December.

Friends of the Earth have arranged a meeting point for all those who would like to march together as Friends of the Earth at The Wave.

Friends of the Earth are also inviting everybody to the premier of Beyond the Pole starting after the demonstration at 6.30pm. Beyond the Pole is a British comedy about two men trying the first carbon neutral, vegetarian and organic expedition to the North Pole. See a sneaky film preview here

Waltham Forest Green Fair - Green Me Attendance cancelled

We now know that we will not be able to attend Waltham Forest Green Fair. This is because the weather forecast predicts rain for the day. We will not be able to set up the stall under these conditions as it would damage stock.

However we will be at Greenwich Market as an extra day. Greenwich Market is covered - so it is the perfect location for all nappies to be on display. Greenwich Market is only 10 miles away from Waltham Forest

Dulwich Park Fair, 17 May 2009

Come and join us at Dulwich Park Fair on Sunday 17th May where your children will be having a lovely time entertained with the many activities that have been organised specially for them. There will be a steam fair, live bands, children's games and entertainers.

Our website is currently having a face-lift, so some pages still have the old design (with a dark blue menu on the left) and some have an all-new design. The new pages pull data dynamically so more clever things can be done with it. You can choose to show only cloth nappies with poppers fastening, only ones made from organic cotton, and so on. We hope that with the new web design, choosing the right cloth nappy will be a much simpler task

We welcome any comments you might have concerning the new design, and any suggestions you can think of to improve it would be greatly appreciated.

I received these pictures and text below on an email and could not believe it. It happens in the Faroe Islands, an autonomous province of Denmark. Video footage can be seen here and here through the eyes of a tourist .

As a mum of four there are things that can happen up to the very last minute that can prevent me from coming to the market. Also, this month's snowy weather making it so cold for the traders who are outside all day, dates might sadly have to be cancelled.

Inkeri sources the most beautiful fabrics from second-hand clothes and transforms them into new designs, such as shirts into skirts, and trousers into dresses. Some features of the original garments are given a second function in the new designs such as, what were once collars are now waistbands. All are original designs and very environmentally thoughtful.
